Camelia. Students Registered Number.2813133025. The Students’ Perceptions to the English Lecturer’s Pedagogical Content Knowledge on Reading Comprehension Aspects at IAIN Tulungagung. Basuni, M.Pd Key words: student perception, pedagogical content knowledge, reading comprehension Lectures is an important aspect in the university environment in its role to build skills and make a personal character of students. The teacher's role in the lectures so dominant for carry out teaching and learning activities, so that the competence of a teacher will determine the quality of graduates. In this case, the student’s perception have important value to make the better quality of lecturer to the students. Perception owned or received from the learning process itself can also be changed along with the information and other materials that enter and received later, because of this relative perception principle the formation of good and correct perception in learning can be done. Here, Applications pedagogical content knowledge in reading comprehension is also necessary to achieve the goals that are effective in learning English as a second language such as English. Low ability students in reading comprehension caused by problems including: students rarely read the text provided by the teacher, because it is less interesting, especially the long text while students' vocabulary mastery is minimal. The formulation of research question of this study is: How is The Students’ Perceptions to the English Lecturer’s Pedagogical Content Knowledge on Reading Comprehension in IAIN Tulungagung The purpose of this study is to know how is The Students’ Perceptions to the English Lecturer’s Pedagogical Content Knowledge on Reading Comprehension in IAIN Tulungagung Research method: 1) the research design of this study is case study with quantitative descriptive. 2) the place and time of this study is in IAIN Tulungagung, starting on March 2017. 3) the subject of this study is the sixth semester of English department. 4) the data are the result of quessionnaire. Then the data source is quessionnaire. 5) technique of data collection from quessionnaire. The result of this study, in five aspects of reading comprehension, there are some methods or ways to determine the aspects. In every aspect, there are one best way to make the students understand in teaching learning reading comprehension. The first is identifying main idea, the most aspects that easy to make students understand is reading the first reading the first sentence in the first paragraph. The second is identifying supporting details, the most aspects that easy to make students understand is reading in detailed begins with the first sentence to the last sentence and then analyzing the structure of ideas of the paragraph. The third is understanding vocabulary, the most aspects that easy to make students understand is guessing the meaning by analyzing the context. The fourth is identifying references, the most aspects that easy to make students understand is scanning or reading every sentence in detailed, the last is making inferences, the most aspects that easy to make students understand is identifying the keywords such as the names of people, place, institution and employing the background knowledge to guess the implicit meaning in the paragraph.
