State Islamic University (UIN) Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah of Tulungagung, supervised by Muhammad Zen Masruri, M.Pd Keyword: Pronunciation Abilities, Self-Assessment, Lecturer Assessment. Assessment plays an important role in evaluating students' speaking abilities, especially in pronunciation, where clarity is essential to avoid misunderstandings. This study involved two variables: students’ self-assessment scores of their pronunciation abilities as the independent variable (X), and lecturer assessments as the dependent variable (Y). The aim was to identify whether there is a the correlation between self-assessment and lecturer assessment in measuring pronunciation of english education students of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung 2024/2025 The research used a quantitative approach with a correlation analysis technique. The sampling method was purposive sampling, involving 55 students. Data were collected through recorded pronunciation test. Students were asked to record a given text and then assess their own pronunciation. These recordings were then evaluated by a lecturer. The data were analyzed using SPSS 27 and the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation formula. The correlation coefficient was 0.410, with a significance level of 0.002. Since the correlation fell within the 0.400–0.700 range, it was categorized as moderate. Because the significance value was lower than 0.05, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Therefore, there is a correlation between students’ self-assessment and lecturer assessment in measuring pronunciation of english education students of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung 2024/2025.
