Advisor : Fitri Handayani, M.Pd Keyword : Frequency of Watching digital short stories, Listening comprehension Listening is an essential skill in English language learning; however, many students encounter difficulties in mastering it because many students find listening comprehension challenging due to factors such as limited vocabulary, unfamiliar pronounciation and difficulty distinguishing words in continous speech. One way to improve listening skill is by watching digital short stories. These are short videos with pictures and sound that make it easier to understand spoken English. In the digital age, many students often watch videos on their phones or computers. Watching digital short stories can help them get used to listening to English. Thus, students can watch digital short stories as their listening material to improve listening comprehension This research aimed to find the correlation between frequency of watching digital short stories (variable X) and listening comprehension (variable Y) on the students of English Department of State Islamic University Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung 2021-2024. This research was done by using a quantitative approach with a correlational method. There were 30 respondents taken as the sample of this research who were determined by using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments that were used to gather the data were a questionnaire on frequency of watching digital short stories and listening comprehension test. The data collected were calculated and analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment Correlation through SPSS program version 27. The result revealed that there was a moderate correlation between frequency of watching digital short stories and their listening comprehension with an index value of correlation coefficient of 0.530. Based on the interpretation table, the index value correlation coefficient (0.530) was at moderate level at interval 0,40 – 0,599. In conclusion, it can be stated that there is a positive moderate correlation between frequency of watching digital short stories and the listening comprehension of the students of English Department of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung 2021-2024.
