Keywords: Effectiveness, Student’s Achievement, Narrative text, Edmodo Educational Website Writing is complex activity for language learners, especially for EFL students. In this modern era, there are some technologies that can be used by teacher to help them for teaching writing. One of those technologies is Edmodo Educational Website. Edmodo is the website that designed for Educational purpose. Edmodo is easy for students to be accessed, because it performance is like social network that the students usually use. This study was carried out to investigate the effectiveness of Edmodo Educational Website on the students’ achievement in writing narrative text of eight graders students at MTsN Tulungagung. The formulation of research problem: Is Edmodo Educational Website effective on the students’ achievement in writing narrative text of Eight Graders Students at Mtsn Tulungagung? Based on the formulation of research problem, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of Edmodo on the students’ achievement in writing narrative text. This study used quantitative approach with pre-experimental with one group pretest and posttest designed. The population of the research were all the students of eight excellent class at MTsN Tulungagung that consists of 340 students. The sample of this research is class of VIII C consists of 35 students that were selected by purposive sampling. Meanwhile, the instruments used in this study were pre-test and post-test. The data collected through pre-test and post-test were analyze by using Paired Samples T-test with SPSS Windows 16.0. The finding showed siginificant differences between the result of pretest and posttest. The mean of posttest score (68.91) was higher than the mean of pretest score (50.97). From statistical calculation, it was cofirmed that the value of tcount (11.510) was larger than ttable (2.032). Also, the way to test wether the null hypothesis could be rejected was by comparing p-value with the standard level of significance 0.05. The convention to reject the null hypothesis is when the p-value of the obtained statistic is less than 0.05. The finding showed that p-value was less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Thus, there was enough evidence indicating that the null hypothesis could be rejected, and it could be concluded that Edmodo Educational Website was effective and it can be used as alternative media to teaching writing narrative text.
