Nanik Sri Rahayu, M.Pd Keywords: Analysis, Moral value Movie is a communication media that gives valuable messages to audience. Every movie has messages conveyed toward the audience. If the audience watch movie that have a good moral value, usually they will also have a good value in daily life. Of course if they watch movie that have a bad moral value, they also will have a bad value in daily life because in every action human being, it is actually based on experience that can be taken as a lesson. Moral value is related to human behavior and personality. In society, people will judge in a good value when they have good behavior, personality, and nature. In this study the researcher interested to analyze moral values of movie entitled “The Karate Kid” because moral value has a big contribution towards the human life, and by analyzing moral values, it is expected the good character for the audience can be built. The purpose of this research are divided in to two parts. The first purpose of this research is to analyze the moral value in the movie. The second purpose is to know the implications of this movie in education. This kind of research was library research. The data from this research was taken by watching the movie and read the script of movie. Meanwhile, the technique of data collection which the researcher used was documentation. To analyze the data, the writer conducting some steps. There are; (1). Seeing the movie, (2). Reading the script, (3). Identifying moral value found in the movie,(4). Drawing Conclusion. The result of this study that there are some of moral values in this movie, ther are; honesty, bravery, peace ability, self-reliance and potential, self-discipline and moderation, loyalty, respect, love, kindness and friendliness, justice and mercy. This research are expected to give some contribution to further study related to moral values, and it is hoped that this result of the research will disseminate additional information to the students or readers in reading literary texts, including watching the movie.
