Keywords: Correlation, Vocabulary Mastery, Reading Comprehension, Analytical Exposition Text Reading comprehension is students’ ability to comprehend and convey the meaning and information in any written text they read. It is different from reading in general. Reading comprehension also requires the readers to extract the ideas from any written text as efficiently as possible. One of the English components that influences reading comprehension is vocabulary mastery. Vocabulary mastery is an excellent knowledge of the students about vocabulary. When the students have vocabulary mastery, they can know anything they read. The research problem formulation is “Is there any correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their reading comprehension of analytical exposition text at the eleventh grade of MAN 1 Trenggalek?” The purpose of this research was to find out whether there is correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their reading comprehension of analytical exposition text at the eleventh grade of MAN 1 Trenggalek. The researcher used a quantitative approach, and the research design was correlational research. The population of this research was the eleventh grade of MAN 1 Trenggalek, and the sample of this research was 154 students of the eleventh grade of MAN 1 Trenggalek. The instruments were tests (vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension of analytical exposition text test). The collected data were analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The result based on the SPSS 25 program for Windows showed the Sig (P-value) is 0.000, and the correlation coefficient is 0.824. Since 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, it can be concluded that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Based on the table of interpretation, the correlation coefficient of 0.824 is in the interval 0.70 – 0.89, and it can be interpreted that the correlation is strong. Therefore, the final result of this research was there is a positive correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their reading comprehension of analytical exposition text at the eleventh grade of MAN 1 Trenggalek, and the criteria of the correlation is a strong correlation.
