Sarjana Thesis. English Education Department. Faculty Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. University Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. H. Nursamsu, S.Pd.I., M.Pd. Keywords: Blended Learning, YouTube, Technology, English Learning Media Technology can be used in almost every single job including education which is used as learning media. In the middle of 2021 the human activities were limited. There was massive-scale restrictions limit that was causing education in Indonesia become blended learning. The education was done at the school and at home with YouTube as the media. This study is primarily focused on two issues concerning learning media and blended learning, those are: (1) How do the student respond toward YouTube as English learning media in blended learning? (2) What are the positives and negatives effect toward YouTube as English learning media in blended learning? This research aims to identify students’ response. This research also aims negative and positive impact toward YouTube as English learning media on asking and giving material in blended learning. This research was qualitative research because it explored response to YouTube as English learning media. The research participants were four students from VII A class in MTsN 10 Blitar. The researcher conducted this research with the use of observation and interview as the instrument of this research. This study is covered a positive response toward YouTube as English learning media resource based on data analysis. They expressed that YouTube has the good features that can help them in studying. Two students that have high score stated that they can easily understand the material with the helped of YouTube. In addition, the research also found that there is positive and negative impact of using YouTube as English learning media. Therefore, it can be said that YouTube can help the student’s understanding but it can reduce student’s interest in reading textbook.
