Reading is an activity carried out by understanding and giving meaning to the reading that is read. Besides that, almost in several countries including Indonesia, interest in reading is very low, especially in the world of education. Therefore, learning media is needed to provide facilities for the smooth learning process of reading students. Therefore researcher use Card Sort learning media. This media consists of card sorting, classification of the material presented. This study aims “To find out whether there is a significant difference from the class that is given treatment using the effectiveness of Card Sort Media with a class that is not given students' reading comprehension of tenth grade at Ma Darul Falah Sumbergempol Tulungagung. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design. The population is all students at MA Darul Falah then the sample is from class X-A (Experimental Class) class X-B (Control Class). The results show based on the independent sample ttest output data that the sig value. (2-tailed) shows the number 0.002. This means that the value is smaller than alpha or 0.000 < α (0.05) in other words H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. As a result, there is a significant difference in reading comprehension between students who get treatment using Card Sort and students without treatment.
