Abstract
The thesis entitled “The Effectiveness of Using Cici Artificial Intelligence Application on Speaking Skill of The Eighth Grade Students at MTsN 4 Tulungagung” was written by Nisda Ayu Yunizar, NIM 126203212117, English Education Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, supervised by Jusuf Bachtiar, SS.,M.Pd. Keywords: Speaking skill, Cici Artificial Intelligence (AI) Application Speaking is the one of the most crucial language skill mastery for English students in the classroom because some of them have many problems when speaking English. The student problems in speaking skills, lack proficiency in pronunciation and grammar, lack of self-confidence, and fear getting negative responses from others when speak English. This is one of the reasons why teachers must take action to overcome the problems that occurs in the classroom. In addition, the factor of problems in the classroom is not only from the students but also from the teacher whether it is in terms of media used by teachers. One of the media that can be used by teacher is Cici Artificial Intelligence (AI) application because it is useful and suitable for students of modern era who are relatively more sophisticated using with technology. In this research, the research problem is “Is there any significant difference score before and after being taught using Cici Artificial Intelligence (AI) application on the speaking skill of the eighth grade students at MTsN 4 Tulungagung? Therefore, the objective of the study is to find the effectiveness of using Cici Artificial Intelligence (AI) application in improving students’ speaking skill on eighth grade at MTsN 4 Tulungagung. To achieve this goal, the researcher used quantitative method with pre-experimental research design. The population of this study was the eighth grade students at MTsN 4 Tulungagung and the students in VII-C of MTsN 4 Tulungagung as samples which totaled 34 students. The data was collected by providing pre-test and post-test as an instrument. The result of the research there is a significant difference score between students taught before and after being taught using Cici Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the speaking skill of the eighth grade at MTsN 4 Tulungagung. It showed that, the use of Cici Artificial Intelligence (AI) application is effective in improving students’ speaking skill on eighth grade students.
