Abstract

This book was developed for front officers to build basic communication skills in practical workplace situations, particularly for those working in the front desk. It consists of eight chapters covering greeting and welcoming guests, giving directions, explaining study programs, handling phone calls, explaining scholarships, making small talk, writing simple messages and emails, and reading simple documents. Each chapter provides authentic activities related to Front Office communication, including learning objectives, key expressions, dialogues, practice activities, role plays, and reflections. Moreover, this book is supported by audio resources to create a more enjoyable reading and learning atmosphere. Through reading and practicing the activities in this book, the EFL learners are expected to communicate more politely, clearly, and confidently in English.
