Abstract

ABSTRACT This study entitled “Pengaruh Model PDEODE terhadap Hasil Belajar dan Persepsi Siswa terhadap Perilaku Merokok pada Konsep Sistem Pernafasan Manusia Kelas XI MIA MA Al Muslimun Lamongan”, Majoring in Biology Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, State Islamic Institute of Tulungagung 2019, is written by Aziza Hajir, Advisor: Zun Azizul Hakim, M.Psi. Keyword: PDEODE Learning Model, Learning Outcome, Students’ Perception The right selection of learning model will take effect on learning process. There are a lot of Biology materials that load meaning of real life. Beside, emphasizing aspects of remembering knowledge and understanding, Biology material also emphasize aspects of application, analyze, evaluation, perception and creativity. Perception will influence the way of thinking, work, and also behave to someone, because of doing adaptation, thought or attitude toward that information, so that, it able to achieve information from around. Perception in learning is seldom noticed by teacher in conducting teaching and learning process. Therefore, it is needed a innovation in learning process and teacher’s role during explain the Biology material well, one of them is by PDEODE (predict-discuss-explain-observe-discuss-explain) learning model, so, the students have good learning outcome and expected perception by the teacher. The aims of this study is to explain the significance of PDEODE learning model toward learning outcome and students’ perception of smoking behavior on the concept of human respiratory system of 11th MIA class at MA Al Muslimun Kawistolegi Lamongan and how significance of that condition is. This study uses Quantitative approach with Quasi Experiment. Population of this study is all of 11th class of MA Al Muslimun Lamongan that consists of 2 classes of 33 students. Sample of this study take 2 classes, there are 11th MIA-1 as experiment class and 11th MIA-2 as control class. Techniques of data collection in this study use test, questionnaire and documentation. Then, the data analysis uses Gain Score with Independent Sample T-Test, and Multivariate Analisist of Variance (MANOVA) by using SPSS of windows 16.00 version. Based on the improved score analysis (gain) with t-test proven that thitung score of students’ learning outcome is higher than ttabl that is 10,985 > 2.101 at the level sig. 5%, thitung score of students’ perception toward smoking behavior is bigger from ttabel that is 3.757>2.101 at the level sig. 5%. Based on the improved score analysis (gain) proven that has F significant score 0.000 and for perception 0.000 < 0.05. it can be concluded that there is significant PDEODE learning model toward learning outcome and students’ perception of smoking behavior on the concept of human respiratory system of 11th MIA class at MA Al Muslimun Kawistolegi Lamongan
