Keywords: Address Terms, Types of Addressing Forms, Social Factor, Me Before You Movie In communication needs, people and languange can not be separated. As the media of interacting with others, a language has tools connecting each word in order to smoothen the conversation, one of them is called as address terms. Address terms refer to words the speakers use to call someone they are talking to. According to some linguists, address terms are divided into some types. The use of a certain type depends on a particular reason which is affected by a social factor. Due the reason, a person can be addressed in many different ways by different people or even by the same person, when it comes to different circumstances. The formulation of the research problems were: (1) What are kinds of address terms used in the movie entitled Me Before You? (2) What is the reason of the address terms used in the movie entitled Me Before You?. The purposes of this study were: (1) To explain what kinds of address terms used in the movie entitled Me Before You. (2) To describe the reason of using each address term in the movie entitled Me Before You. The research method: (1) The research design used in this study were descriptive qualitative with the researcher becoming the instrument. (2) The source of data were got from the movie entitled Me Before You and the transcript made by the researcher. (3) The data collected were all the utterances in the movie containing address terms. The results of this study showed that all the types of address terms were found in this movie, namely title only (T), first name (FN), last name (LN), nickname (N), pet name (PN), kinship term (KT), and special nickname (SN). Some combinations were also used by the characters, for instance the combination of title and last name (T+LN). Next finding showed that the address terms used by the characters in the movie were influenced by 4 social factors, namely the factor of social status or other‟s rank, the factor of age and gender, the factor of transactional status, and the factor of intimacy degree. Based on the findings, nickname form were mostly used by the characters which showed 26,26% out of 4 data found and had been uttered 47 times. The fact shows that people tend to address someone they know with their nickname in such an informal situation to show their intimacy. Due to the reason, the address term chosen were mostly influenced by the factor of intimacy degree in order to show each level of intimacy between the participants involved in the interaction.
