Abstract

ABSTRACT Maming, Rabeeah. NIM 12203173197. 2021 . The Contribution of English Study Club in Improving Thai Students’ Speaking skill. Thesis. English Education Department. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Training. State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Tulungagung. Advisor: Nany Soengkono Madayani, S.S., M.Pd. Key words: Speaking, English Study Club, Thai Students Speaking is one of the important skill that must be mastered by all English Students. Speaking is a tools for using to express feeling and deliver information or the idea in order another. Howerver, to be better in speaking is not easy for learner to achive.learning speaking in foriegn language it is spent a long time to be mastering. However, almost Thai students of English study club can not speak well. Moreover, some of them do not have basic English at all. Therefore, the reason that’s why Thai studens very difficult to speak in foriegn language fluencly and clearly. English Study Club is a place to help students can achive and improve their English speaking skill without nevorse, afraid and pressured. In this case the researcher feels interestes in knowing what the program they used in English Study Club in learning speaking till they can improve speaking skill well. The formulations of the resaerch were: 1 ) What are the English Study Club prefilled for Thai students improving speaking skill? 2) How are the English Study Club perfilled for thai students practice speaking skill?3 ) What are the extended contributies of English Study Club for Thai students in improving speaking skill? Research method: first, the research design of this study was descriptive design with qualitative approach. Secound, data sources of the reseach was tutor as the information, students of English Study Club as the subjects and related documentation. Third, the method of collecting data was observation, interview and documentation. Forth, technique of verification was triangulation methodelogically. Fifth, technique of data analysis was data reductions, data display and conclusion drawing. The result showed that. First, students of English study club used some program in improving speaking skill through discussion, games, speech. Second, English study Club have a good implimented the program there are step of runing the program such as; opening, brainstorm, started the program, practice skill, comment and correction, give motivation and closing. Third, English Study Club are very useful for improving speaking and the progra of English study club is effective actively speaking skill, English Study Club it help student to be better in speaking skill.
