English Education Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic Institute (IAIN) of Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. H. Nursamsu, S.Pd.I., M.Pd. Keywords: Character, Characterization, Movie Script. Movie script is a type of literary work, movie is used for actual human life through a story. Every story presented in the movie has a meaning as a picture of life. This paper discusses feminism in Mulan the movie directed by Niki Caro in 2020. This movie is adapted from the legendary Chinese story, which was written in 1998. This movie reflects the struggle of women in her life. This study aims to find out Mulan conflict described in the movie and how Mulan resolve her conflict in every situation. The formulation of the problem in this research are: (1)What are Mulan‟s conflict described in Mulan movie script? (2) How is Mulan‟s characterization resolve the conflicts described in Mulan movie script? In this study, researchers are interested in analyzing characters and characterization in the characters of Mulan as the main character in the movie. The data obtained are categorized based on the theory from Jones (1968), Chartes (2011), and Burroway (2000) regarding to show the conflict and to know the characterization. This research used This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive design to analyze the characterizations of Mulan‟s character. The data was obtained by watching the movie more than once in order to understand it well. For data sources, read the dialogue scripts from the studied movies repeatedly thus the researcher's didn‟t missed the conversations. The outline of the data is obtained after watching the movie more than once and using scripted dialogue to analyze it in detail. The results of this study found that the study are Mulan as the main female protagonist has a eight conflicts that found in Mulan movie. Mulan emits chi when she catches a chicken, Mulan was matched, Mulan replaces her father's military service, Mulan is lost and hungry, Mulan avoids bathing with men, Mulan saves the desperate troops, Mulan attacks the invading enemy forces, Mulan saves the emperor.This study shows that there are eight conflicts that found in Mulan movie. Each conflict has been resolve by Mulan herself with her characterization. Mulan is obedient child, Mulan steadfastly protect her family, Mulan is willing to sacrifice, Mulan is sincere, Mulan is take risk, Honesti and responsible, No grudge, Mulan is brave and don't give up.
