Abstract

The undergraduate thesis entitled "The use of Almaany Application in Mastering Vocabulary for 11th Grade Students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Blitar" was written by Kurnia Hana Habiba, student id number: 126202202044. Supervisor Dr. Rikhlatul Ilmiah, S.Ag., M.Pd.I. Keywords: The Use of the Almaany Application, Mastery of Mufrodat This thesis was written due to the rapid development of technology in this era which should be utilized optimally for progress in various aspects of life, especially in education. Therefore, everyone can use technology to learn foreign languages, one of them is Arabic. There are many translator applications or online dictionary applications for learning Arabic, one of them is the Almaany application. This application is more accurate than other applications and is very suitable for teachers and students in the learning process. This research aims to find out how the Almaany application is used in mastering the vocabulary of 11th grade students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Blitar and what are the advantages and disadvantages of the Almaany application in mastering the vocabulary. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and the data collection methods are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are, 1) Teacher always prepares teaching modules, and teaching materials before the learning process and the teacher always provides student motivation so that students are enthusiastic about learning Arabic, 2) In the process of learning Arabic using the Almaany application the class conditions look conducive and the students enthusiastic about participating in learning from start to finish, 3) The advantages of the Almaany application is it is easy to access, can be used online and offline, is more accurate than other applications and can be used to search for files. The shortcomings of the Almaany application include that it cannot be used to search for content, sometimes the translation that appears is not connected or does not fit the context, on the home page all the writing is in Arabic and it does not have a scanning feature like Google Lens Translate.
