Keywords: motivational interviewing, self-efficacy, group counseling, KSR PMI This study, entitled "The Effectiveness of Motivational Interviewing Technique to Increase Self-Efficacy of KSR PMI Unit UIN SATU Tulungagung Members," is based on the problem of low self-efficacy among some KSR members. This is evident through behaviors such as procrastination, excessive anxiety, and lack of confidence in facing challenges. Self-efficacy is a crucial factor in supporting the performance of volunteers, thus requiring an effective intervention to improve it. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the Motivational Interviewing (MI) technique in increasing the self-efficacy of KSR PMI members. This study employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects consisted of 40 individuals selected using purposive sampling. The intervention was conducted through three group counseling sessions using the MI approach, and self-efficacy was measured based on three indicators: magnitude, strength, and generality. The research instrument was a self-efficacy scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, which showed a significance value of 0.027 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. The conclusion is that the Motivational Interviewing technique is effective in increasing the self-efficacy of KSR PMI Unit UIN SATU Tulungagung members.
