Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Arina Shofiya, M.Pd. Keywords: classroom management, effective teacher Classroom management is one of the keys to success in teaching and learning activities conducted in the classroom. Well designed classroom management by teachers will have a positive effect on students learning outcomes. Teacher is one of the most important people that can make a good classroom management; it is about how the teachers can organize the classroom in English learning process. Every teacher must have method to present some skill of their student with always up to date the knowledge. The development of classroom management and effective teacher also determine how the achievement of the student’s learning. Based on that explanation, it seems important and necessary to pursue investigation on the activities of teachers in developing their teaching and learning in the classroom. The question that formulated by the researcher is “How do the effective teachers employ classroom management in English classes?” and the purpose of the study is to know how the classroom management that employed by the effective teacher in English classes that they was taught. Then, the design of this research is the researcher used collective case study or case study with qualitative approach. The subject of this study was two English teachers from two different schools; these are from MAN 1 Trenggalek and SMAN 2 Trenggalek. The technique in collecting data is using observation and interview. To verify the data, the researcher used Methodological Triangulation. The data analysis was using three steps; they are data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. After conducting observation and interview, the researcher found the result of this study. The activities that effective teachers doing in employing their classroom are refer to prerequisites of effective teacher. Those are Verbal Ability, Content Knowledge, Educational Coursework, Teacher Certification that refer to Pedagogical Competence of Teacher, and Teaching Experience. Every point has some sub point that must be done as effective teachers when managing their classroom. Both of two subjects also said that those points are important for their learning and influence their learning.
