Abstract

English Learning Strategy Toward Students Difference Intelligence In 8th Grade of MTsN Bandung Academic Year 2017/2018. English Education Departement. State Islamic Institute of Tulungagung. Advisor: Dwi Astuti Wahyu Nurhayati, SS., M.Pd Keywords: application, multiple intelligence, class classification, This present paper provides the classification of student English learning strategy in the term of Gardner’s multiple intelligences. In the process of analyzing the strategy the researcher uses the theory of O'Malley & Chamot (1990) about learning strategy classification. The paper provides lot of strategy implied by smart students in English’s subject from every intelligences in Gardner’s multiple intelligence. Intelligence are divided to be 8 and all of them has their uniqueness. The goal of this research are 1) to find the best strategy for every multiple intelligence in 8th grade in MTsN Bandung 2) to suggest the teacher to apply this research in 8th grade in MTsN Bandung. The design of methodology is qualitative research. The data was gotten from observation and interview. The result of this research is finding the the strategy that used by multiple intelligence into O'Malley & Chamot classification. The goal of classification in the theory of multiple intelligence on students strategy is to improve students English achievement. The result of this research is almost every students has their own strategy to increase their achievment. This research also suggest for the teacher to find the best technique to accommodate students diversity. Then the next advantages is the use of classification of O'Malley & Chamotin in MTsN Bandung Tulungagung is a good idea based on teacher’s interview, but his application also will find some of problem in the process of applying it
