Using the Modified Wall Word to Improve Student Vocabulary Materials in Class Two MTs Darul Falah Bendiljati Kulon Sumbergempol Tulungagung Academic Year 2019/2020. Thesis. Keywords: Modification of Word Wall, Vocabulary Mastery, Improvement Vocabulary is one of the language elements as one of the key in mastering languages, especially foreign language. Many efforts have been made to help students master the vocabulary but most students still have difficulties during the learning process. So, the teacher must find a way to help students easier in mastering English vocabulary, one of the ways is by using media. The researcher intends to help the English teacher to improve students' vocabulary mastery by using Modified Word Wall media. The formulation of this research question is: How can Word Wall improve the students‘ vocabulary mastery of the eighth grade at MTs Darul Falah Bendiljati Kulon Sumbergempol Tulungagung Academic Year 2019/2020?. Hence, the purpose of this research is to find out how could Word Wall media improve the vocabulary mastery of eighth grade students at MTs Darul Falah Bendiljati Kulon Sumbergempol Tulungagung Academic Year 2019/2020. This research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR), through one cycle. One cycle includes four steps namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting adapted from CAR model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart‘s design. The subjects of study are the eighth graders at MTs Darul Falah Bendiljati Kulon Sumbergempol Tulungagung Academic Year 2019/2020, which consistof 28 female students. This study categorized success if 80% of students get score more than the passing grade (≥ 75). The findings showed that the implementation of Modified Word Wall Media solve the practical problems in English teaching and learning of vocabulary mastery which was indicated by the students‘ improvement in the test result. The improvement can be seen from the students' grades between pre test and post test in cycle 1. The percentage of pre test cycle 1 is 14% students classified into success (≥ 75) while 86% of students‘ failed (<75). Then, the percentage of post test 1 cycle was 82% of students‘ classified into success (≥ 75) while 18% of students were unsuccessful. Furthermore, the mean score in pre-test cycle 1 was 30, while the score of post-test cycle 1 was 82. Finally, the students‘ score increased significantly in post test Cycle 1 with the average score was 82 with procentage mastery was 82%. Based on the findings above, it could be concluded that the applied Modified Word Wall media could solve the practical problems in English teaching and learning of vocabulary mastery for the Eighth Graders Students at MTs Darul Falah Bendiljati Kulon Sumbergempol Tulungagung.
