Faezah. Student Registered Number: 126203201049, 2024. Developing E-Module with CTL Approach Using the Book Creator Application on Simpe Present Tense Material for the 8th Graders. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic University of Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, Advisor : Dr. Susanto, S.S., M.Pd. Keyword: Developing, Simple Present Tense, E-Module, Book Creator, CTL Approach In the teaching and learning process, the teacher take roles in planning and implementing lesson plan to facilitate students learning. The learning process greatly influences students’ interest and motivation to understand the material. One of the ways to increase students’ motivation in the learning process is to use a variety of teaching materials. Based on the research’s experience conducting internship observation at MTs Al Ma’arif Tulungagung, It was found that in teaching the topic about simple present tense, there was no teaching materials in the form of applications or e-modules. The teaching materials in the form of handbooks, the teaching materials were less interesting and the materials presented were not related to daily activities or religious routines. Consequently, the students also less motivation in learning. The aim to this study was to develop e-module with CTL approach using the book creator application on simple present tense material for the 8th graders. The type of research used in this research was research and development or R&D. This development research used ADDIE models which consisted of 5 stages namely analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. However, this study was only limited to 3 stages, namely: analysis, design, development. The Instrument used in the study were students’ and teacher interview guidelines, material and media expert validation sheet, and student’ responses on questionnaire. The product produced in this research was an E-Module with CTL approach using the book creator application on simple present tense material for the 8th graders. Meanwhile, the quality of the product was very good based on the responses given by two experts (material and media) and by students as follows: The result of material expert validation by English teacher was of 90% which was indicated of very good category. Meanwhile, the result of media expert validation by an English lecture was 88% which was indicated of very good category. Whereas, the results of the try-out to students response on the distributed questionnaire was 92,24%. It implied that the developed product was in the very good/very feasible category to implemented.
