Key Words: Speaking, Audio-lingual Method, Peace English Course In the era of globalization English is very important in life and a tool to communicate with other people around the world. Nowadays, learning to speak English is not a difficult thing anymore, it can even be fun. Researcher found that language learning comes from listening. By listening we learn how to speak and how to use it, one of them through Audio-lingual Method. ALM is an interesting to study because this method could overcome students' speaking difficulties. It is proven by the fact that in the beginning, the students were less fluent in speaking English, becoming fluent in speaking English. The formulations of the research problems were how is the process of implementation and how is the evaluation of Audio-lingual Method in teaching speaking at Peace English Course in Pare?. The purpose of this study were to find out the process of implementation and the evaluation of Audio-Lingual Method in teaching speaking at Peace English Course in Pare. The method used is descriptive design with qualitative approach. The data sources of the researches was tutor and students as the informant. The method of collecting data through observed of activity in teaching speaking by using ALM, interviews that focused on the process and evaluation of ALM and document that support the primary data were the materials using in teaching, picture when learning speaking and profile of Peace English course. The findings of this research were: 1) The process of implementation of Audio-lingual method in teaching speaking is the procedure of learning ALM divided into 3 activities: the first opening is the tutor achieve a for condition of being ready to learn before entering the materials, then core activities is the tutor delivered the material after that the tutor and the students follow up the materials, then the tutor instructed students to practice speaking English. The last closing is the tutor repeat the material together and gave motivated to the students. And the tutor used the techniques of Audio-Lingual Method in teaching speaking mostly repetition drill and question and answer drill. With the technique, it could make it easier for tutor to implement methods for students to more confident in speaking. 2) The evaluation of Audio-lingual method used shadowing and the aspects of evaluated were pronunciation, intonation, fluency/speed and expression.
