Keywords: Intertextuality, Hannibal TV series, Red Dragon Novel Intertextuality is theoretical construct that refers to the interconnectedness between texts. This idea stress that no text exists in isolation because each one is part of a larger network of cultural and media influences. The researcher chose intertextuality as the topic of this research because it is a concept that we encounter in our everyday life. In this study, the novel Red Dragon by Thomas Harris script Hannibal TV series Season 3 directed by Bryan Fuller were chosen because there are hardly about intertextuality in TV series and novel. This study contained two research problems that had been analyzed as follows: 1) What types of intertextuality are found between Red Dragon (1981) novel and the scripts of Hannibal TV series? 2) What is the dominant types of intertextuality found between Red Dragon (1981) novel and the scripts of Hannibal TV series? This study aimed to find the types found between Red Dragon (1981) novel and the scripts of Hannibal TV series. This research was conducted using qualitative method and content analysis design to answer all the research problems. The data was collected using documentation method from the sources of data which was the novel Red Dragon and scripts of selected episodes of Hannibal TV series and the literary works referenced in them. The data then analyzed through three steps, they are data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion. The result of this research found that: 1) two types of intertextuality were found between Red Dragon (1981) novel and the scripts of Hannibal TV series Season 3 based on Genette’s theories: quotation (20 data) and allusion (22 data). While the dominant types of intertextuality found between Red Dragon (1981) novel and the scripts of Hannibal TV series is allusion.
