Abstract
Lestari,Winda. Student Registered Number 17203153125. Factors Influencing Learner Autonomy in Learning English at The Eleventh Grade of Ma Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung. Thesis. Tadris English Education Department. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic Institute (IAIN) of Tulungagung. Advisor: Faizatul Istiqomah, M.Ed. Key Words: Factor, Learner , Autonomy, Learning. Factor is one of thing that can influence a situation and can be constribute in the result. I this case the situation occurs in the shcool, exactly in students who learn independently. Students motivate to learn independently it because of several factors why they want to learn. Based on the result of research in MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung, there are some factors that influence learner autonomy in learning English. So that, this factors influencing success and students’ acquicition in learning English. The formulation of the research problems of this study are: (1) What factors influence learner autonomy in learning English at the eleventh grade of MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung? (2) How these factors can influence learner autonomy in learning English at the eleventh grade of MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung? The aims of this study are: (1) To know what factors influence learner autonomy in learning English at the eleventh grade of MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung. (2)To know how these factors can influence learner autonomy in learning English at the eleventh grade of MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung. This study is conducted by using descriptive qualitative approach. The teachnique of data collection are observation and interview. The observation is used to find wich students are autonomous. The interview is used to find information from students about what factors influencing them in learning English and how these factors can influence them. The subject of this study are 4 atanomous students. The findings of this study show: (1) Internal factors and external factors that influence learner autonomy in learning English. Students’ opinion that motivation from theirself is one of factor to make them exited to learn English. Beside that, they also mention several external factors such as environment and teacher are factors that influence them in learning English. (2) From these factors, students also explain how these factors can influence them in learning English.
