Keywords: Main Character, Speech Act, Sammy's Adventures Movie Intthisjstudy, the researcher focuses on speechtactstin thelmovie “Sammy's Adventures”. Thejformulation of the problem intthis researchlare: 1) Whattareithe illocutionary acts and perlocutionary actstperformed bylthe mainicharacter injthe film entitled "Sammy's Adventure"?, 2) What typestoflillocutionaryjacts are performedtby thelmain charactertin thelfilm entitled "Sammy's Adventure" ”, The aims of this research are: 1) Tolfindjout whatiillocutionary acts and perlocutions are used by the main character in the film entitled "Sammy's Adventure", 2) To find outtthejtypes oflillocutionaryiacts usedlbytthefmain character in the film entitled " Sammy's Adventures. The researchertused alresearch design withta qualitativetdescriptive approach. Therresearcher used content analysis to analyze this research. Thelsource ofttheidata inrthisrstudylisttaken fromltheiscript in the movie “Sammy's Adventures”. Thejdata injthis studyiarefin thetformjof speechiactslused bylthe main character in the movie “Sammy's Adventures”. The data obtained are categorized based on the theory from Yulej(1996) regarding the categories ofispeechracts, namelytlocutionaryract, illocutionarylact and perlocutionarytact, followed by the theory of Searle (1975) regarding the typesrofiillocutionarylacts, namely representativeiact, directiveiact, commissivelact, expressiveract, andtdeclaration act. Thelresultsiof this research indicate thattthere are 5 speechlacts basedion Searle'stclassification usedtby Sammy as thelmain character inrthe Sammy's Adventures movie script, namely: 1) representative acts with 97 utterances, 2) directive acts with 63 utterances, 3) commissive acts with 4 utterances. , 4) expressive acts with 70 utterances, and 5) declarative acts with 1 utterance. The next result is the perlocutionarylact of each sentence used by Sammy asjthelmain character found 43 effects. The perlocutionary of the sentence is the effect of Sammy's speech as a speaker to the hearer. Hence, conclusion from the results of the analysis that there are twoisections, theylarejillocutionary acttused andrthe perlocutionary act or the effecttthat occurs on the listener after the word is uttered.
