Keywords: developing, multimedia based teaching media, hyperlink powerpoint In this era, the development of Information and Technology (IT) especially for computer software is massively improve and continuous. The spread of that development almost reach in every aspect in daily life. In other side, software computer also closely related to education, many learning activity using computers software. For example typing, counting, browsing on internet, and so on. Thus, school in this modern era should adjust with these changes of development of information and technology in the teaching and learning process. So, teachers need a media to teach English. By developing multimedia based teaching media is assumed to help teaching-learning process run interesting and effectively. One of software that can be used to develop multimedia based teaching media is hyperlink Powerpoint. In addition, based on observation result in XI grade of MAN 3 Tulungagung at 13th of april 2018, both teacher and students in that school need some innovation of teaching media. The formulation of the research problem was how to develop English multimedia-based teaching media using Hyperlink Powerpoint for XI grade of MAN 3 Tulungagung? Then the purpose of this study was to develop English multimedia-based teaching media by using Hyperlink Powerpoint for XI grade of MAN 3 Tulungagung. This development using CBI models by Priyanto: 1) the research design in this study was R&D, 2) the procedure was plan, design, and evaluation, 3) the evaluation in this study was expert validation and try-out of the product, 4) the research subject was English teacher of MAN 3 Tulungagung as expert, XI grade Student of MAN 3 Tulungaung as small group try-out and field trial try-out, 5) the research instrument was questionnaire, 6) the data analysis was using percentage. This research was producing English multimedia based on teaching media for XI grader in topics of First semester inform of soft-file. The result was 83.75% for teaching media validation, and 80.00% for teaching material validation. They were in very good criteria. It can be concluded that the media was valid. Meanwhile the result of small group try-out was 83.00%. Then, the result of field trial try-out was 80.46%. Both small group and field trial try-out percentage was in very good criteria. So, the Researcher can conclude that Powerpoint is proper for English teaching media.
