Abstract

The use of YouTube media on PBA students IAIN Kendari is one of the efforts of lecturers in developing Arabic language learning within the scope of IAIN Kendari because seeing the object of Arabic it self is a beginner Arabic language learner and understanding of Arabic language PBA students are still very lacking, especially in the field of vocabulary and stimulus response PBA students in Arabic. According to experts, mastery of Arabic vocabulary will not be effective if listening skills are still lacking. The purpose of this study is to: 1) analyze the planning of istima' learning by using YouTube media. 2) to analyze the steps of learning istima' using YouTube media. 3) to analyze the evaluation of istima' learning by using YouTube media. The approach taken in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The object of this research is students of the Arabic language education study program class of 2023. As for data collection techniques, researchers use interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses the miles and hubberman paradigm, namely data collection, data presentation, data reduction and conclusions. The results of this study are: 1) istima' learning planning using YouTube consists of: Analyzing student needs, Identifying learning materials, Determining learning methods, Implementing learning and Evaluating Learning. 2) The steps of learning istima' using YouTube media are: First, displaying conversation videos according to the group theme. Second, display the video and translate the conversation every sentence. Third, displaying new vocabulary contained in the conversation. Fourth, question and answer sessions related to the conversation. Fifth, conclude the main content of the conversation. 3) Evaluation of istima' learning consists of: daily evaluation, midterm exam (UTS), and final semester exam (UAS).
