Keywords: Characterization, main character, physical appearance, personality, social status relationship In this study, researchers focused on direct and indirect moral values ​​contained in the film "The Light Between Oceans". The formulation of the problem in this research are: 1) How are the types of moral values ​​found in the film "The Light Between Oceans"? 2) How are the direct and indirect speech acts of the moral values ​​found in the film "The Light Between Oceans"? The aims of this study are: 1) To find out the types of moral values ​​found in the related films, and 2) To find out about direct and indirect speech acts from the moral values ​​found in the film "The Light Between Oceans". The researcher used a literature research design with a qualitative descriptive approach. The researcher uses content analysis to analyze this research. The data source in this study are films and film transcripts from the film The Light Between Oceans. The data in this study are transcripts that show the dialogue for each character in the film. The data obtained are categorized according to Webster's (1981) moral value theory, namely; 1) Bravery 2) Honesty 3) Enthusiasm 4) Kindhearted 5) Love & Affection, 6) Loyalty, 7) Peace Loving, 8) Perseverance 9) Self Confident, 10) Scrificing to Other 11) Sincerity 12) Strong Belief The result of this research found that the moral values ​​that have been taken from the movie are; (1)Bravery is do not afraid to meet danger and pain or hardship(2) Honesty is telling the truth in the beginning better than lying(3) Enthusiasm is nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm(4) Kindhearted is don't expect anything in return for doing good(5) Love and affection is love not only makes someone happy, but also fights for the person you love(6) Loyalty is loyalty will show an honor(7) peace loving is forgive not because deserve to be forgiven, but it will deserve peace(8) Sacrifice to others is Sacrifice needed to get what you want(9) sincerity is a naturalness of sincerity reflects someone who has a nouble heart(10) strong belief is optimism belief to get achievement.
