Advisor: Dr. Muh. Basuni,M.Pd. Keywords: Slang, word formation process, function of slang, Game Night movie Slang stands to a language variety that is commonly used by a certain people or certain community to get easy communication. In this research, the researcher talks over about analysis of slang in the Game Night movie. The purposes of the research are to find out the types of word formation process and function of slang used by the character in the movie. The research focuses on the Game Night movie produced by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, 2018. This researcher uses library research design with descriptive qualitative method to describe the result found. Documentation method by note taking the movie script is used to collect the data. The researcher also answers the research problem use theory word formation process by Yule (2010) and function of slang by Allan and Burridge (2006). Subsequently, the researcher tabulated data of the slang after she explains the theoretical framework. Then, to analyze the data she uses perspective of word formation process and function of slang. This research found thirty two slangs used by the characters in the movie which is classified into six types of word formation process and seven function of slang. It also found the meaning of each slang by understanding the context and searching in some dictionaries.
